✨⬇️ Quitting fad diets, extreme workouts, lo ✨⬇️ Quitting fad diets, extreme workouts, long fasts and working myself into the ground has been a complete game changer for my hormone health. 

Because ultimately if our hormones are out of balance:

•weight gain
•brain fog
•inflammation
•headaches
•PMS
•heightened anxiety

will never be resolved. And there is an epidemic of women dealing with these symptoms thinking it’s normal or worse there’s nothing that can be done. 

Our stress levels, hormones, thyroid function, gut microbiome, are all closely connected. So I’ve been working to nourish all aspects of my body, starting with supporting my hormone and cortisol levels with the practices above. 

1️⃣High protein in each meal ensures for proper blood sugar balance, and this is essential to keep cortisol at bay. Eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, organic meat are all of my go-tos. 

2️⃣I also have been on a matcha kick as its much lower in caffeine than coffee and also contains l-theanine which lowers stress while still giving you a calm focus. 

3️⃣Near infrared light therapy has been shown to improve thyroid function, lower inflammation, and have a calming effect on the nervous system. My setup is in my Red Light Highlight. 

4️⃣I add celtic sea salt, electrolytes or magnesium to all my drinks. Minerals are especially important during childbearing years and post-partum. Essential for so many functions in the body. 

5️⃣Shilajit is one of my favorite adaptogens for the nervous system if you struggle with chronic fatigue (linked in my Shilajit Highlight) but for anxiety/stress I love reishi, lemon balm, holy basil, and skullcap.

Step by Step Guide:

•Take your castor oil packing material (My exact wrap is linked in my Amazon shop & castor oil highlight!) Or you can use a organic cotton or wool cloth

•Drizzle organic castor oil over the cloth – it needs to be wet (but not dripping) I’m using a organic, hexane free castor oil in glass as it’s non-toxic also linked in my castor oil highlight!

•Place the castor oil pack over the liver (located on the right side, underneath the right side of the rib cage.) Or the uterus for fertility!

•You can use saran wrap to prevent leaking if you are using your own cloth. Wear old clothes or minimal clothing as the oil will stain!

•Optionally, place a hot water bottle or heat pad over the top of that area to warm the oil – this assists its uptake by the liver via the skin.

•Wear it for 30-60min: I do these DAILY during my cycle and it’s made a massive difference in bloating/cramping

•Because they are very calming they should ideally be used in the evenings, but this is not essential – whatever fits your lifestyle.

•The pack can be stored in a plastic sealed bag or a container in the fridge and reused around 2months before the pack needs to be washed.

Hormonal imbalance, especially if you were on BC is incredibly common. 

In fact, it’s estimated that 80% of women will experience some kind of hormonal imbalance in their life. 

And many women are having issues metabolizing excess estrogen because of poor liver detoxification and gut dysbiosis. 

Of course starting with a full panel hormone and thyroid test from your doctor is the most accurate way to know where your hormones are at. But being proactive with a few simple lifestyle changes has been a game changer for me. 

1. Eating a whole raw carrot daily. Raw carrots contain a unique fiber that helps to bind excess estrogen and endotoxins 
2. Keeping blood sugar balanced with 3 full meals a day and snacks in-between
3. Increasing organic animal protein like steak for the iron and amino acids which are fortifying to the body 
4. Consuming caffeine AFTER a protein rich breakfast to ensure your are keeping cortisol balanced
5. Herbal teas like red raspberry and dandelion which are mineral rich and assist in hormonal balance (do not consume if pregnant)
6. Detoxing with castor oil packs, dry brushing, red light therapy, daily exercise

And after just a few months of sticking to the above tips, I’ve been feeling a shift in my symptoms. My cycle is finally balanced again and I’m no longer experiencing debilitating PMS.

✨⬇️I first discovered this yogurt recipe a ✨⬇️I first discovered this yogurt recipe after reading Super Gut by Dr. William Davis. 

I was interested in trying it out after hearing how it could help those with SIBO  (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)

Symptoms of this are bloating after meals, slow digestion, feeling “full” all the time and more. Its a VERY common occurrence that more people are dealing with than they realize. 

4 weeks of eating this is AS effective as antibiotics that treat SIBO🤯

But I was even more intrigued after hearing about all the other benefits of this medicinal yogurt. 

Researchers at MIT were doing studies on cancer and observed the following effects on elderly animals given L. reuteri compared to those who did not receive L. reuteri.

* Improved and created rapid hair growth
* Thicker skin, with a substantial increase in dermal collagen
* Acceleration of skin healing
* Created slenderness and appetite control
* Reduced levels of the stress hormone cortisol

So I bought the organic inulin, l-reuteri tablets and a yogurt maker to give it a try! 

And it was surprisingly easy to make.🙌🏻

Directly from Dr. Davis’s website or book Super Gut, you can find the recipe and vegan alternatives. 

You will need:

–Glass or ceramic bowl or other vessel large enough to hold at least one quart of liquid
–2 tablespoons of prebiotic fiber such as inulin or raw potato starch
–Starter: Either 10 tablets BioGaia Gastrus or 2 tablespoons previous batch of L. reuteri yogurt (whey or curds or mixture of both)
–1 quart of half-and-half or other liquid (to make with coconut milk, several additional steps and ingredients are required)
–Some method of maintaining at 100 degrees F

And this pubmed study: 

“Results: At the completion of the trial, participants receiving the prayer intervention showed significant improvement of depression and anxiety, as well as increases of daily spiritual experiences and optimism compared to controls.”

One of my favorite verses sums up the spiritual and emotional benefits of prayer with God:

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Life is going to wear us down, we are going to have trials and tribulation, but thankfully God reminds us in this verse that we don’t have to do it alone.

Through a personal relationship with Jesus, He uplifts our soul, He comforts us in times of need and He gives us a supernatural peace and understanding.

I’ve grown more in my faith in the last few months, than I have in a decade of the new age. 

Repeatedly grateful I’ve been saved out of deception and despite no longer practicing things like yoga, conscious breathwork, meditation, sound healing, etc. I have no anxiety. 

My prayer, praise and time in the word has been more edifying to my mental, emotional and spiritual state than anything else I’ve tried. And trust me… I’ve tried it ALL.😮‍💨

✨⬇️I incorporate this simple practice in my ✨⬇️I incorporate this simple practice in my morning stretch routine.

I tend to hold my stress in my hips, pelvic floor, and low back which has contributed to several imbalances in my body.

See my pelvic floor highlight for more on how to correct this!

But progressive muscle relaxation has helped me to connect to my muscles on a deeper level. Understanding where my body holds tension and using awareness to soften it and reprogram my “holding” patterns.

It involves tensing and then releasing different muscle groups in your body. Again, by doing so it can help you become aware of muscle tension and learn to relax those muscles.

Start from your toes and work your way up to your head, focusing on each muscle group for a few seconds and “tensing” this area before releasing the tension. 

I will often incorporate self massage as it helps to release oxytocin and naturally lower cortisol, the stress hormone.

During this time, I’m also breathing in through my nose and exhaling long and slow through my mouth to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.😮‍💨

The combo leaves me feeling more connected to my body and massively reduces aches/pains.

✅Circadian Rhythm Regulation: Exposure to natural light, particularly in the morning, helps synchronize the body’s circadian rhythm. The body’s internal clock regulates various physiological processes, including the secretion of cortisol. 

✅Melatonin Suppression: Sunlight exposure in the morning helps to suppress the production of melatonin, a hormone that makes you feel sleepy. Lower melatonin levels in the morning allow cortisol to rise naturally, helping you become more alert and energized.

It can also be caused by: 

1️⃣physical illness or chronic pain 
2️⃣poor sleep 
3️⃣processed foods and excess sugar
4️⃣daily high intensity workouts
5️⃣inflammation and chronic infections
6️⃣hormonal imbalance
7️⃣environmental factors, ie pollution, excess noise, etc

And when there’s a combination of these factors at play, it can wreak havoc on your body. 

Cortisol (the primary stress hormone) is a vital hormone with various functions in the body and while acute increases in cortisol due to stress can be adaptive, chronic or excessively high cortisol levels can be detrimental to health.

This is what many women who feel chronically bunt out are dealing with.

Contributing to conditions like anxiety, depression, insomnia, and auto-immune disease.

Managing stress through small daily practices has become a part of my life that simply comes second nature now. Its become essential for me in regulating my cortisol levels and feeling my best. 

And after almost a decade of these practices, I’m sharing everything I learned with you!

So where do you start? Prioritizing the basics is a good place to begin. Sleep hygiene, walking over HIIT and removing excess sugar/gluten from your diet, etc.

✨⬇️In Spring of 2023 I had a supernatural ex ✨⬇️In Spring of 2023 I had a supernatural experience with the Holy Spirit.

I was seeking healing and comfort after a loss and Jesus revealed Himself to me in a powerful way. 

This ignited within me a journey of recommitting my life to Him. 

To no longer be a luke warm Christian...

•past lives
•channeling
•kundalini
•eastern meditation
•sound baths
•angel/tarot cards
•psychedelics
•manifestation
.... the list is endless 

for what it truly is. A counterfeit from the enemy to keep you in a loop of “healing” 

Never being able to find true solace, peace, happiness, purpose or healing. And instead deeply obsessed with the next “modality of healing” from the new age or new teacher, program, masterclass, workshop, etc. 

Because as long as your wrapped up in that... you will want nothing to do with the TRUTH found in the bible and in true relationship with Jesus.✝️

And Jesus healed my heart, mind and body more in these last few months than any of the combined modalities above did in a decade.🤍🙌🏻

Because He is the true healer. 

For the first time I can FEEL His presence in my life and HEAR His guidance clearly. 

And I do not partake nor have interest in partaking in ANY of the above. 

I thank God that I have been saved out of deception and have now dedicated my podcast to exposing the truth.⬇️

High levels of cortisol can influence the function of dopamine receptors in the brain, potentially reducing dopamine sensitivity.

Here are 5 signs that you may need to reset your dopamine:

✨⬇️Viral Creamy Lemon Olive Oil Elixir Recip ✨⬇️Viral Creamy Lemon Olive Oil Elixir Recipe!🍋

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 whole lemon, including peel (Make sure to scrub it clean.)
* Dash if cinnamon
* 2 tablespoons organic olive oil
* 2 tablespoons honey (Raw is great. Since this recipe doesn’t involve heat, the good stuff is preserved!)
* 1 small knob of ginger (about an inch, peeled)
* 3 cups of water

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend on high until completely incorporated. It should have a slushie consistency and a pale yellow color.

2. Strain contents into a jar using a fine mesh sieve to separate the thicker pulp. You can save the pulp for a baking project later or discard.

3. Drink a cup or so of the strained liquid, and reserve the rest in the fridge for another time!

Continue this for 1-2 minutes

Heel drops are a simple practice to help ground you back into your body. 

When you feel overwhelmed, you’re often feeling disconnected from the present moment and your body, this technique will quickly give your body that reminder that you are safe and present. 

Breathing through your nose will assist this more by activating the “rest/digest” portion of your nervous system. 

Within this state the heart rate slows down, thoughts slow, and you can find a sense of calm, connection. 

Through consistency, small practices like this one can down regulate a nervous system stuck in hypervigilance aka “fight/flight”  leading to a body and mind that can facilitate healing, repair and recovery.
