✨⬇️Confronting, feeling and releasing your e ✨⬇️Confronting, feeling and releasing your emotions can feel scary if like most, you’ve gone your entire life suppressing, holding back and ignoring your emotions.

Beginning the journey of opening up to your emotional body should be one that is slow and steady.

Gently opening to your vulnerability and true self through awareness, breath and intention.

Here are a few steps to begin:

1. Breathe and Pause. Give yourself small moments throughout your day to simply check-in with your body. Is your body tense? Is your heart racing? Is your breath shallow? Listen internally to the subtle signals your body is giving you.

2. Acknowledge one emotion at a time. Simply acknowledging an emotion that you’re feeling such as sadness, loneliness, anger, frustration, etc. gives that emotion less power and lowers its intensity. What you resist, will persist so begin the process of recognizing and allowing your emotions.

3. Practice self-compassion. Instead of judging your emotions as “good” or “bad” see your emotions as neutral and instead give yourself grace when big feelings emerge. Imagine if you were talking to your 2-year old self. Give your inner-child (the one typically feeling these big emotions) loving kindness and patience.

4. Try Conscious Breathwork: This modality of breathing in a guided session, will lead to a deepened sense of connection to yourself. The breath begins to open up the emotional body as you release the analytical mind and begin to access the limbic brain or “feeling brain” This is why most breathers experience an organic, gentle release of trapped emotion within a guided session.

I have several opportunities for you to experience this work with me in March! Head to the link in my bio to sign-up for an upcoming live event or breathe with me now on the Rising Breath Membership!

Most importantly, remember your WHY through this process. If you want to improve your PHYSICAL health, prioritizing your emotional/mental healing is truly key.🤍
✨⬇️5 tips to support yourself if you’re al ✨⬇️5 tips to support yourself if you’re also a highly sensitive person.

Being highly sensitive can be one of your greatest gifts if you properly care for yourself.

Without time and space to recharge and recenter, it becomes all too easy to take on the emotions and energy from those around you.

Leaving you feeling:

•Burnt out
•Overwhelmed
•Overstimulated
•Frazzled
•Anxious

And all of these heavy feelings can lead you to wanting to numb out in any way possible to simply not feel so much.

Leading too:

•Turning to food to comfort you
•Overusing social media
•Watching to much TV
•Substance abuse or over-drinking

And for years I would easily fall into the trap of seeking unhealthy coping mechanisms as a HSP.

But now I know the practices that soothe my nervous system and leave me feeling grounded even amidst a chaotic environment.

1. Spend 15-20min DAILY resting in stillness, meditation, prayer, time in nature. Essentially creating a routine that prioritizes your emotional-mental wellbeing.

2. Make your home your retreat. My home is filled with essential oil diffusers, green plants, natural light, and I keep it clutter free. This environment leaves me feeling nourished on a soul level.

3. Sip on herbal tea throughout your day. Lemon balm, lavender, and chamomile are all teas that leave me feeling grounded and naturally lower stress.

4. Have 528hz music or soft instrumental music playing in your car or home. The music is soothing and healing to your nervous system and makes you feel safe and relaxed.

5. Practice Conscious Breathwork. If you’re feeling a lot, you may be holding on to the energy or emotions of others that are ready to be released. Conscious Breathwork is a modality that will facilitate an organic release of excess negative emotion, stress and tension from the body.

Follow along for more tips + support on your healing journey✨🙏🏼

What other tools do you use as a HSP? I would love to hear them in the comments!🤍

✨⬇️Because on a conscious level, you may wa ✨⬇️Because on a conscious level, you may want to let go of:

* a toxic relationship
* self-sabotage
* a misaligned job
* limiting beliefs
* fear of the future
* saying yes to everything/everyone
* past hurts
* chronic illness
* worry of what others think
* perfectionism
* unexpressed feelings
* scarcity

But on an unconscious level (making up 95% of our thoughts, beliefs and ways of being), there may be a reason why you can't let go.

Because we would rather stay in familiar discomfort than venture into the unknown. Our primal brains are designed to favor a sense of "familiarity" in our lives even if it is no longer serving us.

Not only that, there may be an aspect of us that is still benefiting from holding on to these blockages within our lives.

Ex) Holding onto our fear of public speaking keeps us feeling "safe."

Or staying in a toxic relationship which keeps us in victimhood. And if Victimhood gives us attention from our friends and family, we may favor that emotional attention because it's something we didn't receive enough of in childhood.

Choose 1-3 items in your own life you're ready to let go of and then ask yourself this question: "What part of holding on is actually still serving me?"

This can be a powerful exercise to go beyond the conscious mind and understand where you are keeping yourself stuck.

Because the more you can let go... the more internal peace, freedom and inner-joy you will feel. And those are emotions you deserve to feel each and every day.

In need of some guidance and a deeper release? Head to the link in my bio to breathe with me now!🤍
✨⬇️This healing work isn’t always easy… ✨⬇️This healing work isn’t always easy…

In fact it’s often faced with deep resistance and fear of uncovering all the shadows we’ve been holding onto so tightly.

Because all of our life we’ve been taught to suppress the aspects of our personality and emotional body deemed “unfit, unworthy, not good enough..etc” because ultimately we just want to be accepted.

To achieve this acceptance we morph ourselves to become what pleases those around us and unfortunately, this leaves us feeling small and imprisoned within ourselves.

Like you, I was deeply committed and still am to become the best version of myself. To find ultimate alignment with my spirit and to feel FREE, expansive, abundant, fearless, and in love with all aspects of myself and my life.

So I stretch myself beyond my comfort zone and into an oasis of the unknown to do so over, and over again.

Through conscious breathwork, and meditation I’ve been on a decade long year journey of meeting all the shadow aspects of myself, along with all that I had once suppressed from my past.

✨FEELING deeply
✨BREATHING deeply
✨SURRENDERING deeply

It has led to the most beautiful and unspeakable transformation in my healing, and has completely rearranged my life over the years. Leading to a sense of purpose, and faith that leaves me in awe.

The work is never over, it just becomes more effortless over time. It’s a journey I’m so thankful I discovered and am honored to be guiding others through this inner-transformation with breath medicine.

Follow along for more tips on EMBRACING, HEALING and LOVING all aspects of yourself.🤍

This one the one crucial step I was missing in my own healing journey.

It takes intention, consistency and patience to combat the constant stream of stress from the outside world. But thankfully you hold all the tools within to begin relieving burnout.✨

My favorite tool is Conscious Breathwork. Just 3-5min of circular connected breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth shifts your body back into the parasympathetic state of “rest and digest” 🤲🏻

Telling the body it’s time to lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and come back into a state of healing.⬇️

This brings the body and mind out of hypervigilance and you begin feeling a sense of inner-calm and peace from within.

✨⬇️This healing doesn’t happen by accident ✨⬇️This healing doesn’t happen by accident.

In order to truly transform yourself, you need to begin with your thoughts, perspectives, beliefs and habits.

Because on a conscious level you may want to eat healthier, commit to moving your body, heal your money mindset, stop self-sabotaging, love yourself more, etc.

BUT 95% of what drives your motives, actions and beliefs lies in your UNCONSCIOUS mind. The aspect of your brain that was formed/solidified between ages 0-7.

And it takes commitment, guidance and intention to begin accessing and re-wiring these beliefs and old ways of being.

This is the area of work I guide my own clients through.

Teaching them how to begin accessing everything stored in their unconscious mind and body to begin releasing, letting go and choosing new beliefs.

To re-write their story

To begin co-creating their healing.

To become the catalyst in their own life for transformation.

The best part? This doesn’t have to be a long, rigorous journey. This work gets to be fun and fulfilling as you return back to the version of you that was born confident, empowered and abundant in all aspects of your life.✨🤍

✨⬇️”Many children are taught from an early ✨⬇️”Many children are taught from an early age that anger is mean, impolite, rude, hot-headed and out-of-control behavior.

When adults are afraid of their anger (and that’s a hint) they tend to repress their emotions. But you can only deny feelings for so long because eventually, all feelings go somewhere. Acting “as if” the situation or person at hand did not upset you is to deny your authentic emotional state and to potentially set off a ticking time bomb.

Basically, uncomfortable feelings are not to be expressed, acknowledged or validated. This can lead to confusion, shame, and a sense of unworthiness.

While there's no quick-fix or one-size-fits-all way to manage anger, the following steps can help you experience less anxiety around getting mad:

1. Feel your feelings: Because you weren’t taught to handle anger, it’s important to allow yourself the time and the space to stew in emotional upset. Sometimes the goal is not to "fix" the problem, but to learn to sit with uncomfortable feelings.

2. Normalize anger: Anger is not a "bad" emotion, and it can certainly be an appropriate response to injustice. It may also lead to more favorable outcomes in business negotiations as well as an increased motivation to change what’s wrong with your life and with the world.

3. Come to terms with childhood wounds: This is a tall order, for sure. While your parents may have mistreated you, they are not living your life right now. Viewing yourself as a victim will not allow you to focus on your strengths or accomplish your goals.

The key to effective anger management is knowing how to express anger at the right time, in the right amount, and to the right people."

-Source: Psychology Today

Conscious Breathwork is a powerful modality to begin organically honoring and releasing your suppressed emotions, including anger.

During a Breathwork Session, you are given the permission you need to fully release any and all emotions.

This work is all about healing at the ROOT and no longer masking or suppressing your true emotion which only exacerbates anxiety.
✨⬇️If you feel guilty for taking care of you ✨⬇️If you feel guilty for taking care of yourself this often is rooted in a trauma response from childhood.

Maybe like me, you grew up in a stressful home environment where it didn’t feel safe to slow down and rest.

Maybe you were given the messaging that your worth was tied to how productive and “good” you were.

Or it simply felt unsafe to express your true emotions.

Childhood emotional neglect will show up in your adult life as:

* Difficulty with emotions
* Difficulty with self-compassion
* Feeling Numb
* Difficulty trusting others
* Overreacting to conflict
* Self-blame
* Feeling “different”

And it doesn’t matter how incredible our parents were because there’s no way they could meet all of our individual needs growing up.

This isn’t about blaming anyone from our past either. The work comes from recognizing the patterns/habits within ourselves and making the conscious choice to begin healing our own emotional wounds.

To re-parent that aspect of ourselves that needs our love, assurance, and support.

Breathwork is a beautiful tool to begin utilizing on a consistent basis to open your heart, heal past emotional wounds and support your journey of growth.

✨⬇️Do you talk to yourself the same way you ✨⬇️Do you talk to yourself the same way you would talk to someone you love?

Bring awareness towards your internal responses during times of conflict. This is when your inner-critic is most likely to arise and show you where it may be time to deepen your self-compassion.

Self-compassion is the act of showing ourselves love even in the midst of challenge and failure🤲🏻

Signs of Self-Compassion:⬇️

* Having your own back
* Acknowledging when thing feel hard for you
* Validating your feelings and emotions
* Offering yourself support and reminders
* Giving yourself permission to make mistakes
* Letting there be room for learning and unlearning
* Offering yourself gentle touch
* Recognizing that you aren’t the only one and other people experience what you do

And our ability to show ourselves self-compassion is directly tied to our confidence. The more we love ourselves, the more empowered, fearless and confident we will feel.

The places within that you have been unknowingly holding, suppressing and restricting.

Through each exhale you begin to unfold...

An organic letting go begins to unravel

and you rediscover the depths of your being.

This is the magic of a Conscious Breathwork Journey.

✨⬇️I’ve been a nurturer my entire life. Bu ✨⬇️I’ve been a nurturer my entire life. But when we are constantly taking care of another, it can be easy to lose our connection to self and be left completely burnt out.

Fear is often at the core of why we put our self care in the back burner. Along with a sense of responsibility for those around us even when their burdens are not ours to carry.

Fears that get in the way of you setting a healthy boundary around taking care of yourself first:

1. Fear of not being loving
